Planet K'NEX were invited to take part in the annual TechFest in Aberdeen. www.techfestsetpoint.org.uk
Over the 7 days of the festival, over 20 school classes and hundreds of members of the public took part in our K'NEX roving robot challenge. As ever, the 'hands on' element of K'NEX, combined with the challenge of completing a challenge proved very popular and made for a very busy week. The feedback from pupils and teachers alike was fantastic. Many of the children that came with their schools during the week, came back over the weekend with their parents to have another go! The festival was, as always, very well attended and organised.
If you are ever in Aberdeen in September, go to the festival, its a great day out!

Planet K'NEX were invited to take part in the Brighton Science Festival on the 23rd February at Hove Park Upper School this year. This was the first time that Planet K'NEX have taken part in the event which was very well attended and the K'NEX Challenge proved very popular indeed. People young and old were actually waiting in line to take part in the K'NEX Challenge which ran every 30minutes. We estimated that over 500 people actually took part over the day! The Brighton Science Festival runs every year from 23rd February - 2nd March.

Firstly, thank you for all your support throughout 2007.
As a company we delivered over 50 K'NEX Sessions to schools, libraries and various organisations such as Phab and Scout Groups with over 1,500 children, parents and carers taking part in those sessions. 2008 has started in earnest and we delivered our first K'NEX Sessions of 2008 on the 4th January in the London Borough of Bexley.
We are taking bookings now for Science and Engineering Week 2008 which this year runs from 7th-16th March http://www.the-ba.net/the-ba/Events/NSEW/index.html
As ever there will be a choice of themes to the sessions, (all mapped to the Adult Core Curricula as appropriate) including: -
Ferris Wheels
Racing Cars
Bridge Challenges
Helicopters and aeroplanes
Simple-computer controlled models including moon buggies and cranes
Or if you have a particular theme in mind, we will happily design a challenge around it for you and we bring everything needed for the session.
K'NEX events are great for attracting children as many use K'NEX at school and at home and once the parents get involved, they enjoy the sessions too.
New for 2007 was the introduction of the Egg-Box.
These sessions creating simple controlled models run over 2 sessions each of 3 hours (6hours total). Children and parents alike are finding them challenging and fun
